At First Congregational Church we believe that God calls each and every member
into ministry. He gives each of us gifts and abilities that are meant to be used
in His Kingdom work. Just as there are varieties of people and abilities there are
varieties of ministry opportunities at FCC. Here is a list of
our existing ministries and a brief description of each one.

for adults and youth. If you feel you have a calling to teach and work with children, Sunday School
teachers are always in need.
Prayer Ministry Our Prayer Ministry is called Prayer Partners and they are updated with
prayer requests through the church e-mail. Since we totally believe in the power of prayer, e-mail
provides a very efficient way to communicate prayer requests from our congregation and others who are
in need of prayer. Always feel free to call the church office with prayer requests. Requests are also
included in the weekly bulletin and during Sunday Services.

for the corporate life of the church. They see that all funds are properly accounted for. The
Trustees operate at the direction of the church through the budget.
Technical The technical ministry manages the technical aspect of all services. This
ministry recruits and trains people to operate the sound system. The ministry also oversees the
tape ministry of the church. This ministry works very closely with our Worship Ministry.
Worship The goal of the Worship Ministry is to provide a meaningful worship experience in a
number of different settings and services. We use a variety of means to lead people in encountering

Small Groups
Women's Ministry The
Women's Ministry consists of women within the church.
It provides a support system for women as they live their
lives before God - learning about him, drawing closer to
Him, and becoming like Him. We want to assist in the
transformation process that God has promised us through His
Holy Spirit.
Bible Study Groups There are presently 3 bible study groups within the church.
Those hungry to learn more about the Word of God are always welcome to attend. You can be well
versed on the Bible or a just a beginner starting to use and read the Bible. No prior Bible

of the members have been together approximately 30 years or more and most members are "50 something
and over" but are extremely young at heart! This is a vital group of individuals who are always
seeking ways to benefit the church through their hard work and generosity.
The Church Ladies Chapter of the Red
Hat Society
The purpose of the Church Lady members of the
First Congregational Church of Clarkston is to have fun, and
to spread the love, laughter and joy that we have been given
because we are Christian Women.
We meet once a month to pray for those in need and those
on our church prayer list. Then we go out to lunch!
We enjoy being with Christian women who love women. We
meet the last Thursday of the month at 10:30 a.m. in the
church sanctuary to pray.
The requirements for membership are simply that you have
attained a certain age (shh-50), will wear a red hat and
purple clothing, and want to be with other Christian women
to spread God's joy! Just show up at a prayer day, or
contact Linda Atkins or any Church Lady!
