At First Congregational Church we believe that God calls each and every member into ministry.  He gives each of us gifts and abilities that are meant to be used in His Kingdom work.  Just as there are varieties of people and abilities there are varieties of ministry opportunities at FCC.  Here is a list of our existing ministries and a brief description of each one.

Small Groups

Women's Ministry

Bible Study Groups
There are presently 3 bible study groups within the church.  Those hungry to learn more about the Word of God are always welcome to attend.  You can be well versed on the Bible or a just a beginner starting to use and read the Bible.  No prior Bible knowledge necessary, only a desire to know God and yourself better.

Saybrook Group
This group of women spiritually nurtures other women of the church.  They perform community service, visit shut-ins and provide meals, foster friendships and provide money and talents to mission projects.

Two by Two's Group
This group consists of couples and singles who enjoy fun, food and fellowship.  They usually meet once a month and occasionally go on trips and special outings.  Some of the members have been together approximately 30 years or more and most members are "50 something and over" but are extremely young at heart!  This is a vital group of individuals who are always seeking ways to benefit the church through their hard work and generosity.

The Church Ladies Chapter of the Red Hat Society
The purpose of the Church Lady members of the First Congregational Church of Clarkston is to have fun, and to spread the love, laughter and joy that we have been given because we are Christian Women.

We meet once a month to pray for those in need and those on our church prayer list.  Then we go out to lunch!  We enjoy being with Christian women who love women.  We meet the last Thursday of the month at 10:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary to pray.

The requirements for membership are simply that you have attained a certain age (shh-50), will wear a red hat and purple clothing, and want to be with other Christian women to spread God's joy!  Just show up at a prayer day, or contact Linda Atkins or any Church Lady!
