First Congregational Church is pleased to assist you with your wedding plans.
Here are a few guidelines that should be helpful as you look forward to this
special event. It is very important that you set the date and time of the wedding
and rehearsal well in advance. Dates cannot be confirmed until the wedding information
form is returned to the church office along with a $200.00 deposit. Your deposit is refundable
up to one month prior to your wedding. We ask that there is no throwing of birdseed, rice, etc.
However, bubbles and butterflies outside of the building is allowed as this can make for lovely
candid pictures. There will not be any alcohol consumption in the parking lot or any buildings on
the church grounds.
Premarital Planning Sessions Arrangements for premarital planning sessions should be
scheduled with Dr. Hall two months prior to the wedding.
(Dr. Hall conducts all wedding ceremony's at this church as
outside ministers may not be used in our church to perform
the service.)
Length of Service Your party is welcome to use the church an hour prior to the service
and one hour after the service (You will have 3 hours total). These hours will ensure adequate time
for your party to dress prior to the service, if needed, and time for photographs of the church and
your wedding party after the service.
